Tailor Made Gourmet Holidays
Let the Food Routes team assist you with your entire holiday from the moment you arrive till you depart. We will match the destinations to your gourmet preferences using our unique CSI tool. We will recommend and assist with various culinary experiences, may it be a private Malay cooking class or a pot bread lesson on one of our game reserve destinations.
Own self drive
Plan your own self-drive Food Route Holiday in South Africa. Our Food Routes destination accommodation establishments are spread throughout South Africa. Research the possible destinations you interested in and use the route planner and map to determent distances, directions and travel time from one destination to the next. You will also be able to see which culinary experiences we recommend en-route or when staying at the foodroute destinations to explore surrounding the destination.
Get a quote per establishment
For our South African residents or visitors from abroad can research destinations; by region, town, establishment type and food type and requests a quote from the Food Route team by using your preferred dates of travelling, amount of people travelling, room type preference and the price will be revealed. Booking procedures for all Food Routes journeys sold.
- As soon as Food Routes (referred to in the below document as ‘The Company’) have made the bookings we will hold the booking on a provisional basis for you for 21 days to give you time to make a decision. Once we have received a non-refundable deposit of 20% of tour fare, we will confirm the travel arrangements with our service providers. When we confirm to you in writing, then your booking is confirmed and accepted by us.
- Once the booking is confirmed, we will send you a copy of our pre-tour information for that journey. Please ensure that you also take out full travel insurance as soon as the deposit is paid.
- Final payment is due to Food Routes no later than 60 days prior to departure. On receipt of your full payment, we will issue your travel documents.
Cancellation fees are levied when guests cancel any confirmed reservations. The costs of the cancellation fees will escalate the closer the guests cancel to their confirmed departure date.
Please note that any bookings cancelled after the deposit is paid will be liable for cancellation fees according to each property and service providers’ terms and conditions.
We strongly recommend cancellation and curtailment insurance be purchased due to any unforeseen circumstances such as flight delays, baggage loss or ill health.
CHANGING THE BOOKING
After the booking has been confirmed, should you wish to change to an earlier departure date, you may do so subject to availability. Normal cancellation fees apply if you wish to postpone the departure date.
